Body-movement interactive 3-D voxels and synthesizer. (Max MSP, Camera sensors, Sonic and Infrared rangefinders) (2010)
-
Interactive audio-visuals, body interaction with voxels and synths. Infrared and sonic rangefinders for detecting body-movement alignment to synth control nodes in Max MSP patch. 3-D Voxels are interactive from camera computer vision (CV) techniques in Max MSP.
By opening extra visual modes of interfacing (namely the body) with digital codingf of image and sound, such experimnetation forwards the specificity of human processing of image construction, thus drawing arttention to the central role played by embodied human framing, in perception, Immersion is undoubltedly key to any understanding of the development of media, there is not a simple relationship between critical distance and immersion, the relations are multi- faceted, dialectical, in part contradictory and highly dependent of the disposition of the the observer.
Body-Interactives Media Kinect 3-D depth sensors for scanning 22 body skeleton nodes in 3-D space. In practice l,hand, r.hand, l.elbow, .elbow & head and hip, were chosen for interactive 3-D, (global rot, pos),for interactive navigation of visual and computer sound.
